New In - Bright, Colourful Merino Yarns for Crochet Projects

King Cole pattern 5943 is one of my bestselling patterns. It's an easy crochet pattern made up of granny squares and, despite looking hard, it is actually very easy. A customer recently contacted me looking for the yarn to try the short cardigan, predominantly in pink but a brighter combo of colours than in the pattern. The result was five new colours that can be used for this project or any double knit pattern that recommends merino blend yarn.

King Cole merino blend comes in 50g balls and a beautiful range of colours. If you have your own colour scheme you want to create then get in touch

Merino yarn - a year round yarn

Merino yarn has a natural loft (structural ratio of fibre to air) that is very efficient at trapping heat. This makes it warmer than synthetic yarns like acrylic. It is also good at regulating your body temperature, making it a great cooling option on warm days.
