New Knits for Spring and Easter
If you are looking for some new, fun projects to do over the Easter holidays or celebrate the end of the snow and the start of Spring. There are lots of proejcts to choose from. These are my favourite projects at the moment.
King Cole recently released two new knitting pattern books. I love the King Cole range and have done numerous projects from their Christmas Knits. Springtime Knits book 1 features the popular festive shelfsitters with a lamb, a chick and a bunny to choose from. There's also Easter bunting and an Easter bunny basket for Easter Egg hunts and handing out Easter gifts. For those of you who love knitting wreaths, there is a springtime wreath to knit along with lots of Easter and spring themed decorations. I love the chocolate egg covers and the daffodil tea cosy.
A lot of the designs are knitted in DK yarn, but Truffle yarn in different colourways including the new yellow, really brings some of the characters to life. I'm planning on trying substituting the yellow Truffle for the gold DK I use to knit the Jean Greenhowe duck and duckling families.
